Services will be held Dec. 10, 2022, at Pleasant Green Baptist Church 3420 St. James St. Beaumont, TX. Visitation will begin at 10AM until Funeral at 11AM. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery Beaumont, TX.

The sunrise on March 25, 1936, a beacon of light a ray of sunshine blessed Earth Wilma   Faye Green was born to Etta Mae Green & James Green in Houston Texas! 

Baptized at an early age Wilma Faye was relentless in her pursuit of God being her center as the church musician and pianist and the Sunday School Congress leader in Houston.

While with family in Houston, Overton “OV” Lightfoot Sr. attended church service and there SHE was playing the piano Wilma Faye!  OV & Faye fell in love in Houston and married. Faye was a devoted wife who honored her contract for 55years until death did them part April 16, 2010.  Together they were an unstoppable force to reckon with!  To their union they reared three children Tommie “Cat” Catherine, Overton Jr. “Mickey” (deceased), and Anthony “Amp” James in addition to two bonus sons Ernie Ray Isadore & Kirvis Fontenot.  Grandchildren: Telecia, Thalia, Monique, & Colby.  Great grandchildren: Raegan Perry & Thalan Hayward.

Later in life she joined Pleasant Green Baptist Church where she served as a deaconess until her passing.  Wilma Faye was a woman of LOVE, love of God, Worship, Family, Service, People & Work however she could and to whomever she would!!

Retired from the school district as the head cook then Roger Brothers Enterprise but continued to work just because she loved people & life!

She was preceded in death by her parents: Etta Mae Green & James Green, Husband Overton Sr. “Mighty Light” “OV” “Light” “Mr. Lightfoot”, Siblings Mack Love, Charles Love, grandmother, cousins & other family.

Cherishing her memories & living her legacy are her children Cat & Amp, grandchildren, & great grandchildren a host of family & friends.

Mama you will be TRULY MISSED!! We all THANK YOU FOR 86 beautiful & abundantly blessed years!! We KNOW U IN GOOD GOOD COMPANY, UNTIL WE SEE YOU AGAIN!
