Teri was born August 3, 1971 to Thomas and Jessie Hunter in Beaumont, TX. She was a proud alum of West Brook Sr. High School class of 1989. She later attended Lamar Institute of Technology and received an Associate Degree in Office Management and Administration in 2010.

Her career path allowed her to touch many lives working for BISD and for the State. She was most recently employed with the Office of the Attorney General as a Child Support Officer. Her strong work ethic was recognized by the State and she received several awards and commendations for excellent customer service. This was a perfect representation of who she was, a person who tried to ensure others were well taken care of.

Teri’s children were her joy. She took great pride in being a mother. Her heart was so big, everyone knew her as the “babysitter” for the family, friends and neighbors. She was blessed with the title of being a Nanny and proved to be the best at it as well. Nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews were all bound to her in a very special way. Nanny would bring laughter and a song full of joy.

She dedicated her life to Christ as an adult and was a born-again believer of Christ. She let her light shine in everything she did. Her most memorable trait was an infectious laugh and witty sense of humor. She simply loved to have fun.

Teri is survived by her two children: Anthony J. Stewart Jr. and Jesyka L. Stewart; Parents: Thomas and Jessie Hunter; Siblings: Bradley Zaire, Nachol Jones (Anthony) and Thomas Hunter Jr (Nikishia) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and lifetime friends.
