Shawn Tyler Nelson 30, of Beaumont, TX; departed his life on Jan. 22, 2022.

Services will be held Saturday, Feb. 05, 2022, at Proctor’s Mortuary 3520 Washington Blvd, TX. Visitation will begin at 8AM until Funeral at 10AM. Interment will be in Anthony Cemetery Beaumont, TX.

Shawn was born to Bonita Faye Nelson on January 10, 1992, in Beaumont, Texas. Shawn Nelson was raised in Beaumont, Texas. He was very athletic in school. He played football for Westbrook High School, later he received his GED. As he got older, he enjoyed being around family and friends.

On March 4, 2013, his only daughter Shanyiah Joenay Nelson was born.

Throughout the years he was incarcerated, Shanyiah Nelson and her dad built a special bond. He was excited to become an excellent father when he got released. His plans were to go to school to become a truck driver, also culinary arts because he loved to cook.

He was preceded in death by his Grandfather Joseph Davis Nelson and Aunt Vella Mae Williams.

He leaves to cherish his memories, Beloved Mother: Bonita Faye Nelson (Thomas Vincent) who loved her son dearly; Daughter: Shanyiah Joenay Nelson; Special Friend: Kendra Jenkins; Brothers: Ricky Paul Williams, David Andrew Wara,  and Eric Andrew Wara; Grandmother: Dora J. Nelson Ellis (Henry A. Ellis); Great Grandmother: Geraldine Williams; Great Grandfather: Robert Pouncy: Aunt: Jozetter Nelson; Uncles: Terry Lynn Williams, Kerry Joe Nelson(Tonya Nelson);  Great Aunt: Audrey Mayon (Joseph Mayon); Nieces and Nephews: Jace Wara, Malayah Wara, David Wara, Jr., and Rhi; Cousins: London J. Coleman, Giovanni J. Coleman, Paris J. Coleman, Gianni J. Coleman and a list of family and friends.
