Rev. Wilbert Valley Johnson 84, of Beaumont, TX; passed July 15, 2020.

Services will be Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Proctor’s Mortuary Beaumont, TX. A public viewing will begin at 9AM until 10:30AM, and a private funeral will begin at 11AM. Interment will be in Live Oak Cemetery Beaumont, TX.

Wilbert Valley Johnson was born July 23, 1935 to Valley and Maude Johnson in Marksville, LA.

Wilbert moved to Texas where he met and married the late Barbara Jean Johnson and they raised eleven children together. Wilbert worked for the Longshoremen Local 1316 for many years until he retired. Rev Valley was the proud Pastor of Greater Rising Sun Baptist Church in Orange, TX for 28 years until his health started failing.

Rev. Johnson loved the Lord and loved preaching the Gospel, He will truly be missed by all that knew him.

Rev. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents: Valley and Maude Johnson.

Rev. Johnson leaves to cherish his loving memories; his devoted wife: Erma Johnson, brother: Edward Johnson, Children: Joseph Johnson, Barbara Johnson, Johnny Johnson (Sylvia), Willie Johnson Sr. (Latrisha), Charles Johnson (Dawn), James Johnson (Florida), Betty Morris, Mary Morris, Melvin Morris Shirley Morris, and Raymond Morris (Tina). A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren other family and friends.
