Raymond John Myers Sr.

October 28, 1934 – October 26, 2022

Raymond John Myers Sr. 88, of Beaumont, TX; passed Oct. 26, 2022.

Services are Saturday, Nov. 12, 2022 at Proctor’s Mortuary 3522 Washington Blvd Beaumont, TX. Visitation will begin at 12Noon until Funeral at 1PM. 

Raymond was born to the union of John and Cuney Myers in Cheek, Texas on October 28, 1934.

At an early age the family moved to Beaumont where Mr. Myers received his education. After graduating from high school, he joined the United States Navy where he served faithfully until he was honorably discharged.

Raymond worked for several companies before retiring. After retiring from Waste Management, he was able to do what gave him immense pleasure, Barbequing. He was able to enjoy that pleasure and share his gift while working at Broussard BBQ.

Preceded in death by his Parents, Sisters: Mildred Darkins, and Breann Lowe, Brother: Martin Myers, one granddaughter and great granddaughter.

Left to mourn his departure, Wife: Annette Myers; Sister: Lou Anna Jones;  Children: Sherrill Myers Avery, Rena Myers (Bernadette), Gerica Brazile, John Raymond Myers, Jr. (Thomas), Ronald Myers, and Michael Myers; Grandchildren: Kenneth Avery, Kelvin Avery, Ronald Myers, Jr., Ywirk Sidley, Zorin Clark, Wynton Earl Brazile and Elizabeth Owly; Goddaughters: Andrea Boudreaux and Frances Clark, eight great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, special friend and caregiver Roberta White and a host of cousins, co-workers and friends.
