Patricia Ann Carter “Pat” 74, of Beaumont, TX; passed Nov. 26, 2022.

Patricia, lovingly known as “Pat” was born March 8,1948 in Beaumont, TX. She was the oldest daughter of the late James Carter and Esther Moore. She graduated from Hebert High School class of 1966.

After high school Pat moved to Dallas where she worked for the United States Postal Service until she retired in 2009. She then decided to move back home to Beaumont, TX to be near her only child, grandchildren and the rest of her family. Moving back also allowed her to spend a lot more time with her mother. Anytime you would see Pat, you would see Mrs. Esther. The family affectionately called them “The Road Runners”. Pat liked to travel and would often take her son and niece on Amtrak train vacations all over the United States. While in Dallas she was an active member of Oakhill Baptist Church where she was a part of several ministries. When she moved back to Beaumont, she became a faithful member of Cathedral of Faith Baptist Church where she served in the Usher ministry until Covid hit. She was also a member in the Senior Citizens group where she was in charge of planning the Casino trips. Pat would meet with her Classmates “Golden Divas” for their monthly lunch get-togethers. She also loved sports and supporting her family. She would go to all of her grandsons’ football games and band performances. She also loved going to the Arkansas State games to support her nephew who is a coach there. She will be greatly missed.

Pat has transitioned from this life to the next and is now reunited with her parents James Carter and Esther Moore, sisters, Mary-Ann Carter-Jones, Dorothy Carter-Scott and nephew Lewis Ray Carter.

Pat leaves behind to forever cherish her most loving memories: her one and only love, her son Darrell (Sharieka) Carter, two grandsons, Darrell W Carter Jr, Donavan W Carter all of Beaumont, TX, her siblings Napoleon (Betty) Henry of Missouri City, TX, Ronald Carter of Beaumont, TX, Veronica (Robert) Carter-Cotton of Houston, TX, Lucious (Raquel) Moore, Jr of Beaumont, TX and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, friends who she loved dearly.
