Otis was born on January 23, 1964 in Beaumont, TX to Ransom W. Jones Sr. and Rosa L. Hall.

Otis confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized at Booker Missionary Baptist Church.

He was a native and lifelong resident of Beaumont where he       received his formal education in the BISD School District. He      attended Hebert High School and was a graduate of Early Job Corps class of 1983. Otis was a Truck Driver by trade.

Otis was preceded in death by his parents: R.W. Jones and Rosa Lee Hall Jones. Siblings: Patricia Haynes, Terry Don Hurles, Sarah Heath.

Cherishing his memories are children: Deontis Gardiner and      Jasmine Jones. Grandchild: Deontis Gardiner Jr. Siblings: David Hurles (Marie), Ambrose Allen, Queen Varela (Joa’o), Pamela  Harris, Mary Hall, Jolena Sims, Lester Volrie III (Pam), Ransom W. Jones Jr ( )and Kenneth Hurles (Alicia) and a host of other relatives and friends.
