On November 8, 1951, in Kinder, Louisiana, the Lord blessed William Wyckoff and Lucille Poullard Wyckoff with Norma Ann Wyckoff, the eighth child, and their youngest daughter. She received her GED from Job Corps in 1968 and shortly after met the love of her life, Henry Pete Sr. The two of them united in a marriage where three kids were born: Wilonda, Timeka, and Henry Jr.

Norma accepted Christ at a young age and was a member of Johnson Memorial Baptist Church for almost 40 years, where she sang in the church choir with an angelic voice that touched your soul.

During Norma’s vibrate life, she had many passions: she loved to fish, zydeco, cook, bake, and make homemade wine.

Norma was a natural caregiver; she freely gave both heart and soul into caring for several critically ill family members inside her home until they transitioned into the next life. Norma played dominos and cards regularly. Although her favorite was a card game named gin-rummy, it was an outlet for family fun and quality time. Norma was the queen of gin rummy with her family; she schooled both siblings, children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and family friends; she was a beast and a great competitor.

Although Norma will be missed dearly by her family, we thank God for the time He allowed us to have with her during her 70 years of life here on earth.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lucille Wyckoff. Sisters: Willie Mae Wyckoff Rideaux, Wilonda Wyckoff, Rosetta (Rose)Wyckoff Walker. Brothers: Steve, Roy, Michael, Tony, Larry, and Archie. Surrogate Children: Leroy Rideaux and Yvette Rideaux Breed.

Her memories will be cherished by her daughters Wilonda Ieans (Charles), Timeka Pete, and her son, Henry Pete Jr. (Guylather). Surrogate children: Allen Rideaux Jr., Dana Rideaux, and Denise Rideaux. Sisters: JoAnn Wheaton (Pastor Dencil), Barbara Filer, and Evelyn Jones. Brothers: Robert (Yvonne), William Jr. (Charlotte), Sherman (Tina), Kenneth (Yvette). Grandchildren: Charles (Tre’) Ieans III, Ashley Ieans, Jonte’ Pete, Dylan Mays, Amber Ieans, Donovan Jabbar. Aunts: Dora Poullard and Willie Mae Sterling, and a host of family and friends.
