Elaine was born October 4, 1952, in Dayton, Texas to late Hillory Jefferson and Frenzella “Madear” Jefferson Green.
She attended Colbert High School. After school she began a life of serving others. She worked as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant (CNA) for over 30 years. She had a passion for serving and truly enjoyed this line of work. As a Christian, while attending to her patient’s physical needs, she often used the experience as an opportunity to minister the word. Though this line of work was challenging at times, she always approached every patient with compassion and kindness. Word got around about her caring spirit and soon families were requesting her services for private duty. Elaine enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family and friends.
Minister Joyce accepted God In her life at an early age. She sought after and developed a passion for Christ. She truly loved the Lord with her whole heart. He was the Redeemer of her Spirit and the Lover of her soul. She was a faithful servant with a servant’s heart. Elaine selflessly served others using the blessings and gifts God bestowed upon her. She was a person who knew no strangers and was generous with words of encouragement, support and love. She was never at a loss of words when asked for spiritual guidance. Elaine accepted every opportunity to minister the word to anyone in need and to serve the Body of Christ in any way she was needed. She found joy in serving the Lord through serving others.
Elaine devoted her life to glorifying God and developing a deep personal relationship with Him. It was her greatest desire to draw nearer to God. To seek an intimate relationship with Him. She prayerfully studied God’s word as she sought truth and wisdom for her life. She spent countless hours of quiet time with God in prayer and Bible reading. Through daily personal devotion to God, she cultivated the fruit of God’s Spirit in her life.
She truly honored God’s name.
God’s steadfast love endures forever and Elaine’s service to Him was never ending.
