Michael R. Edwards

Services will be held Saturday Sept. 12, 2020 at Proctor’s Mortuary 3522 Washington Blvd. Beaumont, TX. Visitation will begin at 9AM until  10AM Burial will be 10AM in Live Oak Memorial Park Cemetery Beaumont, TX. 

 

Michael was born January 15, 1961 in Beaumont Texas Jefferson County. He was the youngest of six children. He grew up in Beaumont Texas. Michael attended BISD for 12 years. He started at Bethune Elementary, then on to Central high school. MICHEAL loved the name Jehovah. He has some jobs but because of his disability he was not able to be employed too long. He enjoyed listening to music. He came to like country music access the Hatties Group Home in Vidor Texas. He loved Kenny Rogers songs especially the one “Through The Years” by Kenny Rogers.

 

Michael lived in Houston Texas for a short period of time at the Mesa Independent Center in Houston, Texas under the care of Miss Cynthia Spurling.

 

Michael was a brother who loves his family and putting meat on the grill and having them over.

 

Michael is preceded in death by his parents Clyde Edwards Senior and Sediona Smith Edwards, also his two sisters Leona Youkum, Agnes Harris and one brother Clyde Edwards Jr.

 

Michael leaves to mourn his memories his sister who was devoted to him all her life Diana Copeland and another sister Mrs. Jean Holland who he used to love to call and talk too. Michael was never married. When he was able he went to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, although he was not a Jehovah Witness. His sisters that is left out of the six of them lived in Beaumont, Texas. He has a host of nieces and nephews to talk about him all the time. A cousin Dela Edwards would assist me his sister Dianne and getting him from the Oats of Beaumont. Michael will be missed.
