Martha Jane Richardson Baldwin

Martha Jane Richardson Baldwin 86, of Hankamer, TX; passed Feb. 09, 2022.

Services are Saturday, Feb. 19, 2022, at Proctor’s Mortuary 518 Miller St. Anahuac, TX. Visitation will begin at 10AM until Funeral at 11AM. Interment will be in Richardson Cemetery Hankamer, TX.

Martha was born on August 16, 1935, in Hankamer, Texas to the late Sterling & Jenkie Richardson. She received her high school diploma at George Washington Carver in Anahuac, Texas. Martha had a passion for basketball, she attended Prairie View A&M University. Martha had a love for the Lord and singing in the choir at John Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.

Martha was united in marriage to the late Horace “Tuck” Baldwin on February 12, 1993.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and three daughters: Shonda Johnson, Shundra Johnson Freeman & Karen Speights, her Godparents: Thedore & Alice Ricks, Grandkids: Hieshia & Chad Johnson and Great-grandchild: Braylen Thomas

She leaves to cherish her loving memory: Daughters, Brenda Batiste (Wayne) of Winnie, TX and Telicia Butler of Hankamer, TX. Nine grandchildren: Lance Speights, Joseph “Lil Wayne” & Karen Batiste, Shakita Webb, Jordan Tarver, Fredrick, Dajia & Talor Bulter and Raiana Lewis. Ten great-grandchildren, a very special friend Maria Fredrick, a special niece/nephew: Renee Albritton and Eric Richardson.
