Lillian Pearl “Jean” Rivette 89, of Houston, TX; passed June 20, 2020.

Services will be Saturday, July 04, 2020 at Proctor’s Mortuary Beaumont, TX. A Public Viewing: 8AM Until Private Family: 10AM. Interment: Anthony Cemetery Beaumont, TX.

Lillian was born the late Gertie and John Thomas on July 06, 1930.

Lillian attended Plaisance High School and later graduated from Charlton-Pollard High School in 1948. She was an exceptional basketball player and scholarly student. She was a member of the Excelsior Ladies of Jubilee and the secretary for Stewart Park Halfway House.

Lillian started working at an early age as a seamstress and went on to continue her passion for sewing at Calder Cleaners for over 40 years. She later retired when she became ill.

Lillian was preceded in death by her husband: John Rivette, sister: Ruby Nickelson (Artie), brothers: Ivan Thomas and John Thomas III, brother in-law: Joseph Thierry, and best friend: Ruby “Tom” Robinson.

Lillian leaves behind one daughter: Marva Pellican, Houston, Texas, who took care of her until her death. granddaughter: Yolanda Brown, great grandchildren: Jayla St. Julien and Asiaa McQueen, Houston, Tx, sister Sharon Thierry Washington, La, sister-in-laws: Joyce Thomas and Mary Thomas, Lake Charles, La, stepchildren: Marion Rivette, Calvin Rivette, Evaughn White, Odele Taylor, Ronald Taylor, Houston, Texas, Leona Moore, Beaumont, Texas, and a host of other family and friends.
