Larry “Rap” Brown

Larry “Rap” Brown departed this life to the embrace of the Lord on January 21, 2022, in Beaumont, Texas.

Services will be Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022, at St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church 4615 S 4th St, Beaumont, TX. Visitation will begin at 8AM until Funeral at 10AM. Interment will be in Anthony Cemetery Beaumont, TX.

Larry Brown, affectionately called “Rap” by family and friends was born on June 4th, 1953, in Lafayette, Louisiana to his parents, Joseph Lee Brown and Odeal Yokum Brown.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Odeal Brown, his brother Harold Grant Brown, his sister, Gerald Lynn Brown, two nieces Brande Brown and Ashley Buckley, one nephew, Harold Guidry.

Those left to cherish his memory and mourn his loss include his loving children: two daughters DeNessa (Archie) Gamble and Alexis Williams; one son, Alex (Whitney) Williams, and the their mother, Beverly Anderson all from Beaumont, Texas; 12 grandchildren; four brothers, Johnny (Martha) Brown, of Barstow, California, Reverend Conrad (Jeanette) Brown of Branch, Louisiana, Michael (Tashaa) Brown, Dwayne (Bernita) Brown all of Lake Charles; three sisters, Dianne (Dwight) Brown Gibson of Louisville Kentucky, Debra (Michael) Broussard, Gwendolyn Gauthier, both of Lake Charles, Louisiana; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
