Larry James Page was born on December 10, 1953, in Beaumont, Texas to the union of Manuel and Gladys Page. He was the 4th born therefore the baby of the family…3 boys; 1 girl.

Larry’s early childhood Christian foundation started with his Grandmother “Mama Dear” at Jones Chapel COGIC. He was also a member of Pleasant Green Baptist Church and Paradise Baptist Church.  He ultimately joined Cathedral of Faith Baptist Church and loved it.

After graduating from Hebert High School, Class of 1971, Larry joined the United States Army, soon returning home, he connected with the love of his life, Sherril Ann Douglas.  They later married and so the story begins of a life-long committed love story.

Larry worked for the City of Beaumont 16 years of dedicated service, retiring June 1, 2021…. I got that infamous watch and “Ice Plaque.”

The simple pleasures of life to Larry were watching Westerns and sports (Go Texans!) Also, would you believe a quiet day in bed with Sherry Ann watching Lifetime movies even though they both slept through them.  The best times were backyard cook outs, fish fry’s, dominoes with the fellas and those impromptu family breakfast with Renee’/Nessa’s homemade biscuits.

I enjoyed my life and want to thank those that made this possible…. topping the list most importantly is my family and especially Pierre my furry companion.

I am also beholden to Harbor Hospice for the comfort and care provided by two respectful God-fearing and compassionate nurses during this peaceful transition process, surrounded by my family.

Loved ones who cleared the path for Larry are Andrew and Sarah Smith (Grandparents), Manuel and Gladys page (Parents), Uncles, Aunts, oldest brother Adell Maxie Jr. Thad (Son), Cousins and his beloveth Sherry Ann (wife).  As I was given the gift of life, now I must give it back.  I leave to mourn and grieve and hopefully not long my Sons:  Damond, Todd, & Darrel; Grandchildren:  Rashaud, Davion, Josiah, & Tiana.  Daughter of the Heart:  Michelle; Sister/Best Friend:  Linda (Clyde & Corey); Brother:  Willie Maxie (Derrick & Niecy); Special Cousin aka (Cousin Mama) Betty Faye & a host of cousins, nieces & nephews my exceptional bond of ride & die or fly friends.
