Kendrick Laron Garrett gained his wings the morning of September 13, 2021 at San Jacinto Methodist hospital Baytown. He was born in Natchitoches, La. On May 6, 1976 to Joyce Marie Garrett and Arbie Beard.
On August 7, 2021 Kendrick married the love of his life Dionne Kelly. He was a loving husband and father.
“Skeet” as he was known to all of his family and friends was a loving, selfless, caring, and most generous person.
Skeet was a hard worker “always on his grind” striving for the finer things in life. He made his family priority making sure they were taken care of. He also was able to take time to slow down, “smell the roses” and spend quality time with his family. He loved his dogs- Lil Momma, Bentley and Bella. He was a true dog Dad.
Skeet was extremely smart and found opportunity in being self-employed, an entrepreneur at heart. His first business venture was opening up a moving company he named Two20 delivery service. 220 was his favorite number. Along with his wife they fulfilled their dream of owning their own food truck, Indulge Freshness catering.
Skeet had a drive for learning, was always researching the latest gadgets and had an interest in technology.
Skeet was a happy person, always smiling and looked on the bright side even if the lights were dim. He was a jokester and found opportunities to make others laugh. He was a man of many passions including listening to music, fishing and photography.
Skeet had a giving spirit and found time to mentor others and was an advocate for those in the prison system.
He was preceded in death by his mother Joyce Marie Garrett, his father Arbie Beard, maternal grandparents Jack and Leazer Garrett.
He leaves to cherish is precious memories his loving wife and best friend Dionne Monique Garrett, one son Tristen Luke Kelly and one daughter Ahrianna Grace Kelly, 3 brothers: Ricky, Decarlos and Jamichael Garrett, 2 nieces: Jalisa and Re’gene Garrett, his father and mother in law: Oscar and Angeline Broussard and a host of relatives and friends.
