KAREN’S OBITUARY

On Monday, August 16, 2021, God in His infinite wisdom, moved Karen from this earthly life to everlasting life.

A public viewing will be held Saturday, Aug. 28, 2021 at Proctor’s Mortuary 3520 Washington Blvd Beaumont, TX from 11AM until 11:45AM. Funeral Services will be private.

Karen, daughter of Reverend Joseph and Mrs. Vera Guidry, was born on May 21, 1964, in Beaumont, Texas. She was the youngest of seven children. Karen graduated from South Park High School in 1982 and retired in 2007 from the US Postal Service Remote Encoding Center due to health issues.

At an early age, Karen accepted Christ as her Savior and was baptized. She was a member of St. James United Methodist Church, where she was crowned as the first Miss Debutante for Christ.

Karen took great pride in being a mother to her 4 children: Ricky, Tiffanie, Brittanie, and Whitnie. As much as she loved being a mother, she loved being a grandmother even more. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren and marveled at their curiosity and development. Karen was a voracious reader. She read her daily devotionals and was a crossword puzzle aficionado. She was funny with a quick sense of humor.

. She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Joseph Jr, Vernon, and Charles Guidry; and sister, Clarissa Miller. She is survived by her children, Ricky Vallair and wife, Sharwanda, of Houston, Texas; Tiffanie Vallair of Monroe, Louisiana; Brittanie Barnett and husband, Jacoby, of Beaumont, Texas, and Whitnie Vallair of Plano, Texas; sisters, Brenda Samuel and husband, Willie, Darlene Wingate and husband, Edward, and sister in law, Sally Guidry, all of Beaumont, Texas; ten grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
