KAREN CHENEAU 1960–2022

Karen Marie Cheneau entered into eternal rest on July 23, 2022, in Beaumont, Texas at the age of 62.

Karen was born on February 29, 1960 and was the daughter of the late Elizabeth Cheneau and Warren Cheneau. Karen was born and raised in New Orleans, LA until Hurricane Katrina forced her to relocate to Beaumont, Texas where she resided for the past 17 years.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents Elizabeth Collins Cheneau and Warren Cheneau; grandparents, Melvin and Marion Wright and Victor and Marion Cheneau; her brother Darren Cheneau; her sisters Patricia Cheneau and Jacqueline Williams; her aunts, Lillian Washington, Shelia Wright, Christine Banks, Melvina Pajeaud, Susan Wright, Delores Smith, Rose Green, Betty Cheneau, Theresa Russell, and Ellen Smith; her uncles Melvin Wright, Jr., and Joseph & Shirlin Cheneau;

Karen leaves to cherish her memory her husband Ronald Fisher, Sr., three sons–Darian Fisher, Sr., Ronald Fisher, Jr. and Brandon Cheneau; and her daughter Ronja’Nae Cheneau; three brothers Kevin Cheneau (Veronica), Carnell Cheneau and Demond Cheneau; Sisters Warrenetta Dukes (Karlin), Daphne Weary (Michael) and Desni Cheneau; Sisters-in-law Patricia, Paula, Celeste and Talano Fisher; Brothers-in-law Rev. Joseph, William & Louis Fisher (Cheryl), and Anthony Pool; her uncle Kobin Wright; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; 20 nieces and nephews; and a host of loving cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 5, 2022, at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 2120 Renaud Avenue, Beaumont, Texas at 10AM. Visitation from 8AM until service. Also, a viewing will be held in New Orleans, LA on Sunday, August 7, 2022, at Charbonnet Funeral Home, 1615 St. Phillips St. New Orleans, La. from 9AM to 10AM. Interment will be private.
