John James Johnson of New Orleans, LA

March 18, 1943 – April 13, 2020

John James Johnson is the late son of Walter Toca Sr. & Alma Johnson. He was born March 18, 1943 in New Orleans, LA, where he attended  Joseph S Clark Senior High School. Mr. Johnson worked for English Turn Golf Course as a caddy until 2005, when he retired.

He married Earnestine Yarrington in 1962, and to this union two children were born, Michelle & Orlando Johnson. Also from his previous relationship with Margie C Davis, a son was born, John JC Johnson, three stepsons, Antoine & Abram Clark, & Brian Bright. Mr. Johnson was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church where he believed in his Catholic religion faithfully. Mr. Johnson also had this remarkable laugh that no one could imitate, that was his signature.

He was preceded in death by his Daughter: Michelle Johnson; Mother: Alma Johnson; Father:  Walter Toca Sr.; Sister: Carol; Brother: Ronald; Niece: Tiffany Johnson; Grandsons: Taewine Smith & Donald Domino.

He leaves his cherish memories to Sons: Orlando (Christine), John (Brianna) Johnson, Brian (Cynthia) Bright, Antoine (Aiesha) and Abram Clark; Brothers: Leonard (Laura), Charles (Tina) Johnson, and Walter (Geraldine) Toca Jr.; Eleven Grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, & friends. He’ll be greatly missed.
