Joeanne Alexander
January 31, 1944 – October 9, 2022
On October 9, 2022, our beloved Joeanne Alexander was called home. We are grateful for the 78 years God gave us with her.
Services will be Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022 at New Covenant Baptist Church 1204 Miller St, Anahuac, TX. Visitation will begin at 9AM until Funeral at 11AM. Interment will be in Bayshore Cemetery Anahuac, TX.
Joeanne was born on January 31, 1944, in Eunice, Louisiana to Duson and Mable Alexander. Joeanne grew up in Anahuac, Texas. She attended her early years of school in Double Bayou, Texas, and graduated from George Washington Carver High School in Anahuac. Joeanne lived a life full of fun and laughter. Joeanne was a faithful member of New Covenant Fellowship Church until God called her home. Joeanne was adored by everyone who knew and met her. Her humble personality allowed her to enter the hearts of many. She was known for her witty personality and spunky attitude. She was a very freehearted person. Joeanne was a great mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and beloved friend to all. She will truly be missed.
Joeanne was preceded in death by her father: Duson Alexander, and her mother: Mable Alexander. Her brothers: Ray Allen Alexander, Otis Alexander Jr., Robert Dale Rivon, her niece Charlotte Leday, her nephew: Christopher D. Alexander, and her grandnephew: Ashton Leday.
She leaves behind her sons: Michael Wayne Alexander (Anahuac, TX) and Ronnie Johnson (Double Bayou, TX). One granddaughter whom she adored Mikayah Alexander (Barret Station, TX). Three sisters – Inez Roberson (Las Vegas, NV), Rose Lewis (Anahuac, TX), and Beverly Smith (Los Angeles, CA). Three nieces – Yolanda Green (Pearland, TX), Yavon Smith (Los Angeles, CA) and Tara Dukes (Las Vegas, NV). Eight nephews -Otis Tyrone Alexander (Los Angeles, CA). Marcus Alexander (Los Angeles. CA), Marcus Alexander, and Andre Roberson both of (Las Vegas, NV), Herbert Lewis Jr. (Barret Station, TX), Brandon Lewis (Houston, TX), Thomas Roberson Jr., and Anthony Roberson both of (Los Angeles. CA). Martin Roberson of (Las Vegas, NV). As well as a host of great nieces, and nephews, cousins, and friends.
