Jo Ann Harrington of Beaumont, Texas

Jo Ann Harrington, 83, of Beaumont, TX was called to eternal rest on May 8, 2020. Jo Ann was born in Beaumont, TX on July 1, 1936 to George and Mattie Perkins.
Jo Ann graduated from Charlton Pollard High School in 1954. Upon graduating high school, she attended Texas College in Tyler ,TX. Also, she attended Tyler Barber College in Tyler, TX and she earned certification to become a barber. She was a barber at Curtis Barber Shop for numerous of years. Before she retired, she worked at Perry’s Barber Shop.
At a early age, she accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior. She was baptized at East Mont Olive Baptist Church. For over fifty years, she has attended Douglas Memorial C.M.E. Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Brooks and Reverend David Robinson. She served as a choir member.
She enjoyed going shopping every Tuesday and watching basketball on television.
Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents George & Mattie Perkins, brothers James Perkins and Johnnie Perkins.
Jo Ann leaves to cherish her memories to her husband Lee “Hank” Harrington, son Roderick Harrington (Tonya), daughters Vanessa Harrington, Aundrea Harrington, sister Delores Wells, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and many other family members and friends.
