Jerry Dee Haskins “Sueboy” of Beaumont, Texas

August 27, 1950 – September 4, 2020

Jerry Dee Haskins 70, of “Sueboy” Hankamer, TX; passed Sept. 04, 2020. 

Services will be held Saturday Sept. 12, 2020 at Proctor’s Mortuary 518 Miller St. Anahuac, TX. Visiation will begin at 10AM until funeral at 11AM. Interment will be in Whittington Cemetery Hankamer, TX. 

Jerry was born in Hankamer, TX on August 27, 1950 to Massie Haskins and Ida Mae Thomas.

Jerry accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of the St. Mary Baptist Church located in Hankamer, TX.  He graduated Anahuac High School in 1969.  Additionally, he attended the Texas School of Business where he obtained his EKG Technician certification in 2000.  He was employed at Goose Creek Consolidated School District where he retired after providing over 20 years of dedicated service.

He was always smiling and never met a stranger.  He loved to zydeco, spend time with family and cook.  He also labeled himself the king of dominos, which playing dominos was another favorite pastime of his.

He was preceded in death by his parents Massie Haskins and Ida Mae Thomas, brothers Nathanlyn Thomas and Vivian Haskins, and sisters Lura Mae Hill and Evan Jane Hill.

He leaves to cherish in his loving memory, sisters, Ida Lee Green (Early) of Hankamer, Tx, Mary Haskins of Baytown, TX, and Nevelyn Thomas, Houston, Texas and borther, Delmar Joe Haskins (Lois) of Hankamer, TX, Niece: Elvenia Jackson. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.
