JAMES’S STORY
His life journey began on
October 16, 1945 in Beaumont, Texas
James Edward Johnson Sr. was born October 16, 1945 to Jimmie Lee Johnson and Howard Johnson. He was a long time resident of Silsbee, TX. James graduated from Waldo High School Class of 63. After High School he joined the Army Serving in the Vietnam War. He received National Defense Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal/Device 1960 Vietnam Service, Vietnam Service Medal with 2 bronze stars. Combat Infantry man Badge (1st Award) 20/5 Bars, Markmans (Rifle M-16, M-14) After leaving the Amry, he worked for Kirby lumber company. Then, proceeded on to join Arco Oil and Gas as an Operator up until he retired in 1994.
James was a devoted and caring husband. He enjoying spending time with his family and friends. He loved reading, learning, studying Gods word and spreading the word with others. He leaves cherished memories of his wife Barbara Johnson, children James Jr(Silsbee). Brandon(Silsbee), Craig (Tonya) Moffett(Kountze), Tonja Green(Silsbee), Lamonda Johnson(Houston), Jamie Johnson(Beaumont), Tim Irvin(Beaumont), Quinton Lee(Houston)
He was in death by his brother, Bobby Hick proceeded, Michael Johnson proceeded, Carlton (Gloria) Johnson, Howard Johnson, Gerald Johnson, Joseph Johnson, Brain Johnson, Sister 4, Mary Johnson, Cardyn (MIke) Malveaux, Virginia Alceues Lois Johnson, and 15 GrandKids, and a host of many relatives and friends.
