Gloria “Jean” Benjamin
July 23, 1946 – April 9, 2020
Gloria Jean Benjamin was born on July 23, 1946 in Mobile Alabama to James Williams Sr. and Agnes Louise Brown Wyatt. Gloria accepted Christ at an early age which she valued her entire life. Later in life she relocated to Texas where she then embarked on her calling which consisted of homemaking, serving the Lord, and raising her children.
Gloria was a woman of faith embodying the characteristics of being resilient, nurturing, and strong willed. She enjoyed holidays where she was able to provide nourishment to her loved ones, especially with her signature desert sweet potato pies. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, and serving the Lord! Gloria was a long-time member of Harvest Time Church which she cherished greatly. Gloria enjoyed family events where she was able to congregate with family surrounded by love food, and great music.
Gloria is preceded in death by her parents James Williams Sr. & Agnes Louise Brown Wyatt; Her beloved son Alfred Adams; Brothers; Charles & Tommy Williams; Nephew Jeffrey Williams; Sister in Law Georgia Ann; Brother in Law Ennis Freeman
She leaves to cherish her memory four loving children her daughter Lisa Adams, three sons Ernest Benjamin (Shannon), Jason Benjamin (Wendy), and Jamie Adams(Tracey); Her siblings which consist of three sisters Veronica, Pearl, and Denise (Elige); Two brothers Anthony (Betty), and James Jr.
Gloria also leaves to cherish her memory her beloved grandchildren Vinesha, Jalisa, Jessica, Porsha, Breanna, Jasmine, Jayvond, Jaylon, Jajuan, Jasenia, Alonzo, Ethan, Olivia, and Sadie. Great Grand Children Jordan, Jada,Aiden, Kenslei, Ryliegh and Tarayle.
