July 13, 1951 – August 04, 2020

Services will be Monday, Aug. 10, 2020 at crossroads Fellowship Church 12110 East Sam Houston Prkwy. North Houston, TX 7704. Visitation will begin at 9AM until funeral at 10AM. Interment will be in Anahuac, Cemetery Anahuac, TX. 

Eberto was one out of nine children to Julio Cesar Castro (deceased) and Lydia Del Carmen Castro. Eberto Castro came to America from Honduras in 1980. He was a proud man and believed in education hard work and determination and took pride in achieving he “American Dream”. He was a merchant marine for over fifty years. He worked for The Foreign Flag Shipping Company for 13 years and was a proud member of the Seafarers Union for over 23 years. After traveling the world his favorite place to be was home. He loved to say “yo disfruto mi casa” which means “I enjoy being home”. He was a man who made sure to give God all honor and glory for the blessings he received in his lifetime. Eberto was a man who was madly and selflessly in love with his wife of forty years, Darla Castro. He loved and lived to make her happy every day of his life. He was a proud father of all nine of their children, twenty-six grandchildren, and eight great- grandchildren. With love and acceptance, he took into his family his son-in– laws and daughter–in– laws as his own children. What gave him most pleasure in life was to serve his wife, children, family, and friends. Eberto loved the little and simple things in life. His favorite past-times were planting in his garden and planting Gods word into his family in every possible way. Eberto as a man that made an impact on every person he encountered. He truly valued and held dear to his heart every person he met. He was known for his laugh, smile, and the Joy in his eyes. He was a man that fell in love, with a love that could only come from Jesus Christ and when he found that he never turned back.
