Earl Willis, Jr. 73, a native of Franklin, La and a resident of Detroit, MI; transitioned this life at his residence on October 5, 2022.
Services will be held Saturday Oct. 15, 2022, at Triumph Baptist Church 1005 Iberia St, Franklin, LA. Visitation will begin at 9AM until Funeral at 11AM. Interment will be in Special Providence Church Cemetery Baldwin, La.

Earl, affectionately known as “6 -2” and “Man” entered this world on August 19, 1949 to the union of Earl Willis, Sr and Hazel Vincent Willis. Earl was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. He was passionate about his clothes, cars, and music. In the 90s, Earl made the decision to move to Detroit to begin a new chapter of his life. He was surrounded by family and built a successful life for himself.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Hazel Willis; his wife, Stacey Willis; his brother, J.C. Willis; his sister, Arlene Thomas; and his paternal and maternal grandparents.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his children; Lorenzo Willis, Sybil Willis, Rodney Barto, Tamara Barto, Mark Barto, and Gary Barto; his brothers Melvin Willis, Troy Willis, James Willis, and Leroy Thomas; sisters Catherine Willis, Patricia Jones, and Sandra Lamar; along with a host of grandkids, other relatives, and friends.
