Darrell Wayne Young of Beaumont, Texas

Darrell Wayne Young was born on February 16, 1966 in Beaumont, Texas to Cleveland and Sarah You g. He attended public schools in Beaumont and graduated from Beaumont Charlton Pollard High School class 1984.
He worked at Preferred Management and Proctor’s Mortuary until his health failed.
Darrell grew up in church, that’s all that he knew. He started his early years at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church under Rev. M. L. Williams, Sr. as he grew up he moved his services to St. Peter Baptist Church under Rev. Harry Mitchell. He journey through the years, he later united with Ebenezer Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Kavin Jones until his health failed.
He blessed many with his ministry of singing. He would sing whenever and wherever he was needed. Darrell loved church music, always walking around singing a John P. Kee song or two.
He knew the Lord and his voice was a melody from heaven.
He blessed many with his gift of music until his health failed him. Even during his illness he would strike up a song. “(He’ll Welcome Me and Sunday Morning)”
On Sunday June 21, 2020, God called Darrell by name to begin his journey into everlasting life. Darrell will be missed greatly by his family and loved ones.
Darrell leaves to mourn a strong legacy of memories to his family. He is survived be his Children: Kourtney Young of Houston, Texas, Tevin Young(Terri), Paris Young, Zachary Young, Zane Young, and Zaria Young all of Beaumont, Texas; Granddaughter: Ta’Nijah; Sisters: Debra Jefferson of Washington D.C., Cheryl Prudhomme(Randy), Cynthia Coleman(Paul), both of Beaumont, Texas; Brothers: Kenneth Young(Ethel) of Lafayette, Louisiana and Joseph Singleton(Lillie) of Opelousas, Louisiana and a host of other relatives, life long friends, nieces, and nephews.
