Carol jean Cooper
April 22, 1961 – June 29, 2020
Carol was born on April 22, 1961 in Beaumont, Texas, to Joseph and Edna Samuel. She graduated from French High School of Beaumont, Texas in 1979. She married her husband, John E. Cooper of 27 years, December 24, 1993. Carol was a dedicated healthcare worker in central supply and later in her tenure, became a senior orthopedic technician with Christus St. Elizabeth, totaling 16 plus years. Later in her career, she began working as a phlebotomist for SETMA. Over time, she welcomed five children, April Tyrrell, Reginald Tyrrell, AnTony Stelly, Trent Cooper, Monique Cooper, and Nikita Cooper, creating a family welded of strong ties and a cord of love.
Carol was truly a warm soul to those who may have met her as a stranger but left her as a friend. Her passion for helping others resulted in her touching numerous lives, giving endless love, and radiating happiness and laughter wherever she went.
Carol, a crown jewel, was a selfless individual who loved spending time with family, decorating, enjoying music, and singing. She was an active and dedicated member of the Borden Chapel Baptist Church and became known for beautiful solos she sang with the church choir.
Carol leaves to cherish her memories; mother, Edna Haynes Samuel; husband, John E. Cooper; children, April Tyrrell Henderson (Eric), Reginald Tyrrell Jr., bonus children AnTony Stelly, Trent Cooper, Monique Cooper, and Nikita Cooper; siblings, Joseph Samuel Jr. (Nyri), Janice Coleman (Larry Sr.), Danny Samuel (Debra), Ivory Samuel, and Harold Samuel and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends who she cherished deeply. She is preceded in death by her father, Joseph B. Samuel Sr.
