Services are Saturday, Oct. 02, 2021 at Proctor’s Mortuary 518 Miller St. Anahuac, TX. Visitation will begin at 1PM until Funeral at 2PM. Interment will be in Whittington Cemetery Hankamer, TX. 

 

Bessie May Hill Broussard, 93, of Hankamer, Tx transitioned to her heavenly resting home on September 11, 2021.

Bessie May was born February 15, 1928, to the late Albert and Sophronia Hill. She was a faithful, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Bessie, better known to all as Georgia, was a spirited, fun-loving homemaker.

She is preceded in death by her siblings: Howard Moore, L.T. Moore, Benjamin (B.C.) Hill, Quincy May Floyd (Aunt Sister), and Samuel Hill. Half-sister: LeVersa Hill Bluff. Her daughters: Lezta Broussard (birth), and Cheryl Ann Faniel. Son: Michael Broussard.

She is survived by her daughter, Katrinea Denise Broussard of Baytown; and two sons: James Craig Broussard of Kentucky, and Brian Broussard of Hankamer. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren: Kenisha Simpson (Brandon Simpson), Desmond Broussard (Mikaela Salinas), Damon Broussard, Astrid Broussard (Christopher Levy), Richard Faniel Jr., Brice Broussard, James Broussard (Kelly Broussard), Domanique Broussard (Jeremy Wheaton), Katherine Bray (Jonah Bray), and Jye Levan (Kimi Carter).

She also leaves 20 great-grandchildren to cherish her memory, and a host of nieces and nephews. Geneva Thomas, Tammye Thomas, and Mervin Thomas to whom she raised.
