Bernadette Howard Powell 59 of Port Arthur, Texas died Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Beaumont Health Care Center. She made her home in Port Arthur for 59 years.
Bernadette was Baptist at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in her early age. Later she became a member of the Seven Street Baptist Church, where she served as the Bereavement Committee with the Sister Keepers Club to aid those that experiences from a loss love ones. She attended Lincoln High School and later received her General Education Diploma. She worked at Senior Rehab Solutions as a CNA. She was a proud mother and a devoted sister, aunt and friend.
Bernadette was preceded in death by her Husband: Charles A. Powell; Parents: Mr. and Mrs. Jamie and Rita Howard; Siblings: Michael Howard(Harmon), Rita Sue Howard Joseph.
Bernadette’s memories will be cherish by her Children: Rev. Chance Tone Powell (Jessica), Virginia Powell; Grandchildren: Raegina Mary Powell, Grant, Kameron Powell, Caries Powell, Kiemora Powell, Heaverly Warren, and Shamare Evans; Siblings: Wanda Howard(Keena), Gwendolyn DuCuire(Roy), Safiyyah Sabir, Mildred Hayes, Cynthia Williams(David), Jamie Howard, Jr. Elgin Howard ( ), Everette Howard (Willie Mae) and a host of niece and nephews, relatives and friends.
