Mr. Smith’s son, Kevin, and I met decades ago while attending high school in Beaumont, TX. Kevin has been my best friend since that time. I often ponder about the origin of those who hold the title of best friend. Kevin had the privilege and remarkable experience of having wonderful parents in Mr. and Mrs. Smith. I met both of them and they were always so kind and pleasant, just good people. They are a testament to my best friend whom I’m blessed to have in my life. I extend my condolences and blessings to Kevin and his family. I ask that God continue to comfort them and provide them with a sense of peace.
