Leona Green

She was born in Lafayette, Louisiana on September 7, 1952 to Gladys Chevis and Wilkins Green.

Leona is survived by her mother, Gladys Chavis; her brothers, John, Micheal (Pam), Clarence Chavis and sisters, Hazel, Beverly, and Thelma Chavis; her children, Wilona Tatmon (John Dumas), Joseph Terry Green, Bobbie Green, and Warren Duglas; and her ten grandchildren. She is preceded by her brothers, Peter, Chester, Joseph, Louis Chavis, her sisters Norma Chavis and Ella Green and her sister-in-law Gloria Chavis.

Leona lived a simple life. She was a housekeeper for 25 years before deciding to retire and live the rest of her life surrounded by her family. Leona loved her hunny buns and her coffee with tons of hazelnut creamer. She was kind, loving, and a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend.
