Henry Pete Sr. 75, of Beaumont, TX; passed May 30, 2020.

Services will be Saturday Jun 06, 2020 at Proctor’s Mortuary 3520 Washington Blvd. Beaumont, TX. A Public Viewing will begin at 9AM until Private Funeral at 10AM. Interment will be in Live Oak Memorial Park Beaumont, TX.

Henry was born in Opelousas, Louisiana on November 13, 1944, to Alfred Pete and Gladys Hayes Pete. He was the fifth child of nine children.

Henry attended Henderson High School in China, Texas where his classmates called him Lapin. Henry sacrificed his education to help his parents with his siblings, whom he loved so very much. At twenty-five, he then married the love of his life, Norma Wyckoff.

Although Henry only had a middle education, he was a successful entrepreneur. Henry owned Pete’s Trucking and Heavy Equipment Company for over fifteen years and then began to work as an independent contractor. He had a gift with his hands and was a talented mechanic. Henry also had a green thumb and was able to grow anything. He eagerly shared his skills and knowledge with family and friends.

Henry accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior on May 23, 2020; his daughter, Wilonda, had the honors of leading him through the prayer.

Preceding him in death were his parents: Alfred Pete and Gladys Pete, Andrew Pete, Phyllis Johnson, Alfred Pete Jr., Lucy Zachary, and Perry Pete.

Cherishing his memories are his most loving wife: Norma Pete, his children: Donna Lynn Moore, Henry Hall, Wilonda Ieans (Charles), Timeka Pete, and Henry Pete Jr. (Guylather); His siblings: Bertha Wyckoff, Shirley Johnson (Charles), and Howard Pete (Lisa), 8 Grandchildren as well as a host of other Relatives and Friends.
